Firefox ssetting to open pdf downloads automatically
26 Jan 2018 In the Applications section of Firefox, I've set PDF files to open in my "Do this automatically" box as you described and the setting was saved.
So the problem only happens when Firefox tries to open a pdf file with Reader. I had to got into Adobe Acrobat and alter the settings: (hence don't need plugin), but to be downloaded to disk and automatically opened by Adobe Reader.
